Stow Class of 2015 | Stevie

I've known Stevie since he was very young, it's kind of crazy to me that him and my brother are graduating this year. Time has gone so quickly.
So proud of who he has become!

Barberton Class of 2016 | Ben

I don't think I have ever photographed a more genuinely sweet person. He didn't talk much (he's a boy getting his photo taken, they aren't too excited) but you could just tell! I had a great session with him and chatting with his mom! An absolutely wonderful family!

Engagements | A+B

There are times, as a photographer, that you get to capture people whose genuine love for one another radiates. Where it's almost like you're not there, because they're in such rapture with one another. Those are the best kinds of photo shoots.
I have known Britton for a decade now, we started going to school together in 8th grade. He became one of my closest friends during our mid to late high school years. I met Amanda when a friend and I happened to go to Chipotle while they were there. I remember thinking right off that bat that she was sweet and cute! Of course, I waited a short while before grilling him about her. We were able to meet up again at a later date and it was confirmed that she was so sweet!
After  conversations with Britton and spending time with them this past Memorial Day I had my suspicions that a proposal wasn't too far away. Though of course he wouldn't give me much Britton did say it was something I could expect to congratulate them on before the Ohio winter hit.

Amanda told me oh how they took a trip to cabin in the Smokey's. She expected to go backpacking for the weekend, but when they left and ended up in Tennessee she was pleasantly surprised. She told me how they hiked, played dorky games and cooked their favorite foods that weekend. One evening they had a romantic dinner and she was certain if his intentions were to purpose this weekend that it would happen then. The evening passed and there was no surprise ring! This then made her suspicion at the engagement taking place her birthday weekend even greater. The next morning, I am told, was absolutely beautiful and after breakfast on a deck overlooking the mountains, Britton asked the question, and she said yes!

If you ask Amanda what are some of her favorite things about Britton she'll speak of his compassion, how she has never met someone that is more caring or compassionate. She'll tell you of his patience and how his patience has challenged her stress-prone self and has caused her to grow. She sees it as a true blessing. She'll talk about his eyes and his smile which are two of her favorite features. When Britton talks about Amanda's character it's of her caring a loyal spirit. How she is so very smart and persistent and how all of these things makes him happier than he's ever been before. Her button nose and brown eyes which he finds breathtaking brings a smile to his face.

When I asked them of their favorite memories, though they are different the message I received was the same. Amanda talked about the cruise they went on to the Caribbean. How no service allowed them to live in the moment without distraction. They just got to spend time with one another. Britton told of the time they intended to go south, they had everything set and because of their excitement they threw their timeline to leave in the morning out the window and decided to drive through the night. He said to some it might seem unimportant but this shows that she brings out a side of him that he never really had before, a spontaneous side and he loves her for it. With both of these memories you can tell that they very much enjoy being with one another. And that is very important!

In the couple hours I had with them taking their photos it became evident quite quickly that they really do enjoy one another. I am so happy for them and excited to be part of their special day.
