Last night I was laying in bed, David had been asleep for some time. I for some reason thought it would be a great time to research some photography things rather than going to sleep. At one point, I snuck out of bed and gotten on the computer into my photo editor. When I came back to bed it must have woken him enough for him to lean over, kiss me on the arm, and then settle right back into his sleeping state. This has happened countless times before with me often staying up later than he does, but something about last night made me stop and smile.
It's moments like these, not a big event, not a photograph taken just something simple, that make me realize how quickly time moves. We're in our fifth year of marriage, our third dwelling, one little man on the way and an endless list of blessings. It still feels like yesterday I was in high school driving around in my ninety-nine Malibu, playing softball and working at Marc's. I didn't even know who David was yet and here we are, I swear all I did was blink!
